Maryland law: your choice of shop

Insurance carriers can suggest a 'preferred' shop or DRP (Direct Repair Program), but they cannot require you to use it. Maryland insurance law explicitly protects your right to choose your own collision repair shop. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

What we handle for you

Initial damage estimate with photos and frame measurements. Supplemental estimates for hidden damage discovered during disassembly. Parts negotiation (OEM vs. aftermarket) with your adjuster. Direct billing to the carrier. Rental car coordination if covered. Final invoice review with you before sign-off.

Carriers we work with

GEICO, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, Travelers, Farmers, Erie, MetLife, Encompass, and every other major and regional carrier serving Maryland. Bring us any claim from any carrier — we'll work with them.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance recommends?

No. Maryland law protects your right to choose any body shop for collision repair. Insurance can suggest a preferred shop, but they cannot require it.

Will using your shop affect my insurance rates?

No. Your premium depends on fault, claim type, and your policy — not where you get the work done.

What if my insurance only authorizes aftermarket parts?

We'll tell you exactly what's authorized. If you want to upgrade to OEM out-of-pocket, we'll quote the difference up front.

Who pays my deductible?

You do. We collect the deductible when the vehicle is ready for pickup, and we bill the rest directly to your insurance.

What is a supplemental estimate?

When hidden damage is found during disassembly (often behind bumpers, fenders, or under the hood), we document it and submit a supplemental estimate to your insurance for approval before continuing.
