Insurance Claim Assistance

Bring the claim number. We'll handle the rest.

Insurance claims are confusing on purpose. Airpark Auto Collision handles the entire claim workflow on your behalf — estimates, supplements, parts approvals, photo documentation, and direct billing — so you can focus on driving a loaner instead of negotiating with an adjuster.

Your Choice
Maryland law protects it

You choose the shop. Maryland law is clear.

Insurance carriers can suggest a 'preferred' shop, but they cannot require you to use it. Maryland law protects your right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. Bring your claim to Airpark regardless of who your carrier is — we work with all of them.

What we handle

Initial damage estimate documented with photos and frame measurements. Supplemental estimates when hidden damage shows up during disassembly. Parts negotiation (OEM vs. aftermarket) with your adjuster. Direct billing to the insurance carrier. Final invoice review with you before sign-off.

Rental car coordination

If your policy includes rental coverage, we coordinate pickup and return so you're not stuck without a vehicle. We work with Enterprise, Hertz, and most local rental partners.

OEM vs. aftermarket parts

Some policies specify aftermarket or LKQ (recycled OEM) parts. We'll tell you exactly what your insurance is approving, and if you want to upgrade to OEM out-of-pocket, we'll quote the difference up front. No surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?

No. Maryland law gives you the right to choose your own collision repair shop. Insurance can suggest a 'preferred' shop or DRP (Direct Repair Program), but the choice is yours by law.

Who pays — me or my insurance?

We bill your insurance directly for the covered amount. You're typically only responsible for your deductible, which we collect when the vehicle is ready for pickup.

What if hidden damage is found during repair?

We document it, photograph it, and submit a supplemental estimate to your insurance for approval. This is standard — collision damage often hides behind panels and only shows during disassembly. We won't proceed on supplemental work without your knowledge.

Can I get a rental car?

If your policy includes rental coverage, yes. We coordinate with Enterprise, Hertz, or your preferred rental partner. We'll let you know exactly what your rental coverage limit is so there are no surprises.

Will using your shop affect my insurance rates?

No. Your choice of repair shop doesn't affect your premium. Premium changes depend on fault, claim type, and your policy — not where you got the work done.
