What collision repair at Airpark looks like

Every collision job starts with a thorough damage assessment. Our technicians document the visible damage, photograph the vehicle, and put it on a frame measuring system to check for structural issues you can't see from the outside. You get a written estimate before any work begins — no surprises, no hidden charges. Once approved (by you or your insurance), we order OEM or OEM-equivalent parts and begin disassembly, structural repair, body panel replacement, refinishing, and final reassembly.

Structural and frame repair

Modern vehicles use unibody construction, where the frame and body are one bonded structure. A collision can throw alignment off by millimeters and ruin handling, tire wear, and safety system accuracy. We use computerized frame measuring equipment to bring the structure back to factory tolerances — the same standard the manufacturer uses on the assembly line.

Paint matching and refinishing

We use computerized color matching to pull your exact factory paint code, then blend the finish across adjacent panels so the repair is invisible. All paint work is done in a downdraft spray booth with premium materials, then baked, color-sanded, and polished to factory gloss. Most repairs include a lifetime warranty on the paint and finish work.

We work with all insurance carriers

Bring us your claim number and we'll handle the rest — supplemental estimates, parts approvals, photo documentation, and direct billing to your insurance. You're never required to use the shop your insurer recommends. Maryland law gives you the right to choose your own body shop, and at Airpark Auto Collision we make sure that choice is the easy one.

Frequently asked questions

How long does collision repair take?

Most cosmetic and minor collision repairs finish in 3–7 business days. Larger structural or frame work typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on parts availability and complexity. You'll get a written timeline with your estimate.

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?

No. Maryland law gives you the right to choose your own collision repair shop. Insurance companies can suggest a preferred network, but they cannot require you to use it. You can bring your vehicle to Airpark Auto Collision regardless of who your carrier is.

Will the repair be visible? What about paint matching?

Done right, a quality collision repair is invisible. We use computerized color matching to pull your exact factory paint code and blend the finish into adjacent panels. Final color-sanding and polishing bring the repair to factory gloss.

Do you use OEM or aftermarket parts?

Your choice. We default to OEM parts when your insurance covers them, and we'll always tell you exactly what we're installing. If your policy specifies aftermarket or LKQ (recycled OEM) parts, we'll let you know in advance — and if you want to upgrade to OEM out-of-pocket, that's an option too.

Does Airpark Auto Collision offer a warranty?

Yes. Paint and refinish work carries a lifetime warranty. Body and structural repair carry a written warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. We stand behind every job.

Can you handle the insurance claim for me?

Yes. Bring us your claim number and we'll work directly with your insurance adjuster — handling supplemental estimates, parts approvals, and direct billing. You sign off on the final repair plan, and we take care of the back-and-forth.
