What ADAS actually is
ADAS is the umbrella term for the camera- and radar-based safety features in modern vehicles. The forward-facing camera usually sits behind the windshield near the rearview mirror; radar units hide behind the front bumper cover or grille emblem; blind-spot sensors live in the rear bumper. Because these components literally aim at the road, their position has to be exact. A bumper replacement, windshield swap, or suspension repair can shift them just enough to matter.
