Frame Straightening & Unibody Repair

Back to factory specs — measured, not guessed.

Modern vehicles are built as unibody structures: the frame and body are bonded into one engineered crash-management system. Even a moderate collision can throw alignment off by millimeters — enough to ruin handling, tire wear, fuel economy, and the accuracy of your safety systems. Airpark Auto Collision uses computerized frame measuring equipment to restore your vehicle to factory specifications, the same standard the manufacturer uses on the assembly line.

Why frame alignment matters

Out-of-spec frames cause uneven tire wear, pulling at speed, premature suspension wear, and inaccurate readings from ADAS sensors (lane keeping, automatic braking, blind spot monitoring). After any moderate-to-severe collision, frame measurement should be standard — not optional.

Computer-measured to factory tolerances

We anchor your vehicle to our frame rack and measure key reference points against the manufacturer's published specifications. Any panel, mount, or structural component that's out of tolerance gets pulled back into spec under controlled hydraulic pressure — millimeters at a time, with constant measurement.

Welding and structural integrity

All welding meets I-CAR Gold Class standards. We use the correct weld type (MIG, MAG, spot, or rivet-bonded) for each material — including high-strength steel, boron, and aluminum panels common in modern vehicles. The repaired structure performs identically to factory in a future collision.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my frame is damaged after an accident?

Signs include the car pulling to one side, uneven tire wear, doors or trunk that don't close right, visible gaps between body panels, or warning lights from driver-assist systems. A frame measurement check at Airpark is free with any collision estimate.

Can a bent frame be fixed, or do I need a new car?

Most frame damage can be repaired to factory specifications using computerized pulling equipment. The exception is when damage extends into the safety cage or when repair cost exceeds the vehicle's value (a 'total loss'). We'll tell you honestly which side of the line you're on.

Will the car drive the same after frame repair?

When measured and repaired to spec, yes. Frame straightening at Airpark restores the structural geometry to within manufacturer tolerances — handling, alignment, and safety system accuracy all return to normal.

Does insurance cover frame repair?

Yes, in nearly all collision claims. We handle insurance documentation including before/after frame measurements so your carrier has full transparency on the repair.
