Static calibration
Static calibration is performed inside the shop with the vehicle stationary on a level surface. We position manufacturer-specified calibration targets — patterned boards or reflective markers — at exact distances and heights from the vehicle, then use a scan tool to run the manufacturer's calibration procedure while the camera or radar re-learns its reference points. This is the required method for most forward-facing cameras used in lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition, and it demands a controlled space free of glare, clutter, and uneven flooring — which is exactly what our calibration bay provides.
